Red is the New Black?

Well maybe not.  But my oh my is there a lot of it about, some great stuff too although it's not a colour I would normally wear.  It reminds me of, dare I say it, "Christmas"… Most years at around late November when the nights have drawn in, and all I'm wearing is black, all of a sudden get an urge for a red coat comes upon me. This year I don't think there’s going to be any difficulty in finding one!

Going around the shops the other day with my mum, there were some fab red dresses, skirts, trousers, tops and coats.  Oh and boots!  We're looking like we may still have a chance at an Indian summer (hope against hope) so maybe I shouldn't be musing on tinsel and ball balls quite yet.  But with September three days away unfortunately autumn will be here before we know it.

The first look - I love these asymmetrical skirts, although I know a lot of you don't…

I would wear this shirt undone, with different T-shirts underneath.  Or even a light-weight jumper.

I'm loving Zara's boots.  This year there are some amazing footwear colours, patterns and textures.

Last but by no means least the red coat, I have my eye on a few, going off on a try-on session this coming weekend.
