All Things Silver!
The week for me has been about silver (that H&M jacket I've had my eye on was purchased), my lovely daughter when she saw me in it asked if I wanted to look like the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz. That wasn't quite the look I was going for.
Silver is illumination and reflection, it’s glamorous and elegant and has a feminine energy, on the flip side it's also industrial, sleek, and modern. I prefer silver in the summer rather than winter months, despite its obvious Christmassy charms… It catches the light, fantastic for the face, that mirror effect reflecting under the chin and lifting the face, now that has to be a good thing?!
I try and accessorise silver with more casual items, a shift dress with a black or white T-shirt underneath. I wouldn't put a metallic skirt with heels, I would always wear with trainers, Converse or flat sandals and a logo t-shirt or a jumper (although not this week!). Unless I was going to a Christmas party then I'm dressed like a Christmas tree (but that's another blog ;)).
I personally like silver with black, white, greys - very neutral colours. I wouldn't necessarily put it with green, brown or bright pinks but that's a personal preference. My good friend Sarah puts all colours together and looks amazing.
